This is a unique opportunity primarily for people who already have some experience of HANDLE® or Feldenkrais and wish to explore some of the ways the two approaches together can enrich our understanding of learning and well being.
This standalone workshop is designed to enhance your practical application and understanding of neurodevelopmental education and what enables us to learn, relating to your own life and the lives of the people you work with and care for.
Roger Russell is an expert in his field who has a skill for explaining neurodevelopment in an accessible way, whilst enabling you to experience the learning in your own body. This powerful combination will give you resources to take away and really run with!
We will explore:
-Refining our quality of attention to become more effective
-Learning to shift from habitual patterns such as switching off deep-set tension patterns and learning new habits around stress
-Deepening our practice of Gentle Enhancement® and the neuro-physiology behind it
-Making better use of Mental Rehearsal
Roger Russell is an exceptional and engaging presenter who will deliver this specially-developed presentation online in the morning from his office in Heidelberg, Germany. The workshop will continue with discussion and experiential application of Roger’s teaching with HANDLE Activities in an afternoon session facilitated by Sean Williams.
Roger works as a senior Feldenkrais trainer, an approach which works, like HANDLE, to support learning and organisation of the nervous system through movement. He was trained 40 years ago by the founder Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, and is a founding sponsor of the Feldenkrais Science Network, an active researcher and author.
The workshop costs just £65 including lunch. Our venue is a modern studio just minutes walk from Brighton train station. Places are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. Please contact us if you have any enquiries.
